Periodic Inspection – Why do I need to carry out this test?

A periodic inspection is an inspection to determine the condition and safety of your electrical installation. A periodic inspection should be carried out on all types of installation  - Commercial, Industrial and Domestic.

BS7671:2008 IEE Wiring Regulations recommend that all electrical               installations are tested regularly and give guidelines for frequency.

A Periodic Inspection could reveal if any circuits are damaged or reveal any potential electric shock risks and identify any defective wiring, identify lack of earth bonding, an important safety feature of intallations     

List defects that would require rectification to achieve a “satisfactory” certificate

The extent of the inspection should be determined before starting, you may only require sample testing to assess the overall condition of your installation.   We can advise on this.
